----Can we get some kind of official word on how the update is coming along, maybe a few hints/previews about it, that would be nice

Maybe I misunderstood your suggestion, but these sliders are actually vst parameters, so they can be controlled by your host just as any other parameter.

----Waiting isn't a prob, I was just trying to check and see what all the update would be about, like what (besides the fx that you talked about a couple months ago) would be changing etc. Plus, if people knew what was coming in the update, they might not write you manifestos requesting 418,000 new features in this thread

Hi Tick, well of course you're right. I had been looking in Ableton Live 5 and it is not in Ableton's list of mappable parameters (dunno if you are familiar with the layout) But in my Cakewalk Project 5, it IS mappable and works fine!!!! (yay)Eric,
Maybe I misunderstood your suggestion, but these sliders are actually vst parameters, so they can be controlled by your host just as any other parameter.

But now its even more bizarre, because it seems like a whole bunch of the parameters, in fact all the parameters > #128, are nonexistant in Abletons list!! The last parameter I see listed in Ableton is SeqNote11. Rhino has too much parameter goodness for poor Ableton??? Any Ableton users ever notice this?!?
Anyway I guess its Ableton's problem but it still sucks!
thanks,
Eric
PS Well after visitng Ableton's forum I see that (ridiculously enough) there IS A hardocded 128 VST parameter limit. They exist in the plugin but you cant see or automate any above #128 through Ableton's midi learn.
Well I guess it'll have to be Rhino's midi learn which does work fine by me, anyway!!!

May I suggest, a new synth, a semi modular Fm synth with a square morphing Formant effect, where you draw the formants your self like in cube, and with 2 Morphing envelopes, And add to that a handfull of unusual effects. I was thinking like having blocks of four fm operators, that could be added, like in the Sy 77, 1, 2, or 4 at a time, you could then send the output of each of the blocks and the effects, and the formant section, to any of the others, for further processing. and maybe you could add a sample block or two, where you simply have a looping device, that could crossfade the loop at any given point.

You read it right, although I'm notoriously slow in my coding

Oh, hey biggie, did I tell you I finished the Prodyon-Spacehawk collection conversion? It's available in full in Rhino VFS Format now.
