A Richman2 favour to ask

Greetings..
Due to a discussion that I was having with a friend about the merits of touch response affecting things other than volume in instruments, I was wondering if I could ask a favour of some of you..
I need somebody who is a good pianist to play a short demo (30 seconds would be fine, longer would be great) using just a single instance of Richman2.
You can cover a standard or make up something of your own but please try and make it close to a recognisable tune or style..
You are free to put a little fx on the track (a lick of reverb or delay) but nothing that would distract from the basic Richman2 tone..
You are free to use any preset that takes your fancy but please let us know which was used..
Please, if any of you are interested ianweb@dial.pipex.com email me the results (letting me know if they are for my ears only) or if you prefer post them in this thread..
I know we are all really busy but I would really appreciate this,
many thanks in advance..
Ian

If this was a sneaky attempt to get people to play with Richman2 more, it worked...
...
With all the good keyboard players here, you should be getting useful response.

No, it was a genuine attempt to get some 'hand-played' demos showing the touch response at work..M'Snah wrote:If this was a sneaky attempt to get people to play with Richman2 more, it worked...

Had a proper listen now and I really like it..
I was quite pleased with the upright bass patch and I use it a lot on my own stuff now, so it was nice to hear it used as a key part of a track..
Safeaim was kind enough to send me a chopin opus which I have included an excerpt of. I think this part shows tha touch off quite well with the notes biting more on the 'louder' part (whats the proper musical term, I wonder?)
It sounds like he's used JoMals AsiaPluck-jm preset and he says he's used Ultrafunk's Reverb on the track..
Any more takers.. i am looking for some electric piano hero's.. perhaps a budding Billy Preston ..!

OK this one is a goody..!
Submitted by a collegue, the song should be recognisable enough..
Used the Upright and PlayWithFeeling Presets.. FPC drums ticking away in the background.
mmm--niice
What type of piano sound would you say that this was closest to or does it sound like a hybrid?

A hybrid. I actually went from initially thinking "That's easy, it's a Rhodes" over "nah, it's more like a wurly." Then I thought I had to get to the bottom of it and picked up Sampletank & SS2 and compared several of the epiano samples with Richman's PlayWithFeeling. I didn't really find anything spot on in all octaves, but there was a distorted Pianet that came pretty close in some areas.ianweb123 wrote: What type of piano sound would you say that this was closest to or does it sound like a hybrid?
I'd really like to help you out with a demo but I'm definately not a solo piano player, so I'll pass.

Thanks for the feedback on the sound.. The ability to move away from established sounds is one of the reasons I like Richman2.. Don't worry about not being a player, neither am I, which is why I'm asking for help
