There will be impoved automation in xt2. One of the automation improvements Im wroking on hasnt been mentioned in this thread. But I dont weant to spoil the suprise...yet

Not like I'm finding eXT limiting in any way right now, but I'm not really pushing its capabilities either.

eXT is my favorite host right now, not so amazing I guess.

Absolutely the best musical investment I made last year, and the least expensive!

Jorgen,
I'm soo glad you are thinking about automation! There are really only 3 things in XT that are holding it back right now:
-Recording and setting up automation (/mapping)

-Sequencing the main window takes too much work.

-Not enough control over the levels of each line in the main window. This makes creating a send or a group impossible without using submixers all over the place.

yea proper group tracks that supported PDC would be lovley

unless i'm doing my bus tracks roung & thay normally do have PDC?

i output a track to a eq i like, then remove the output (the eq stays) i then send stuff (audio tracks & vsti outputs) to this eq, but if i add pdc needing plugs to this eq as inserts then PDC gose all messed up
