So I submitted our press release to some free PR services and they should be coming through the pipes after the new year. Hopefully that will help generate some sales.
I'll post a link to it here when it comes up.
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

(Here's the complete press release for anyone interested. I have tweaked it a bit and this reflects the latest changes. Perhaps those that did translations before would be willing to redo them using the new text?)

International Group of Musicians Aid Hurricane Katrina Victims with CD sales

Atlanta, GA, 12/31/05 -- An online group of 44 independent musicians have released a double cd compilation featuring 39 tracks by artists from 14 different countries. The proceeds from CD sales will be donated evenly between the Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity to aid Hurricane Katrina victims.

The coalition of musicians that have given their art to benefit those in need are members of the www.kvraudio.com online community. The forum is focused on music software development, and as such, many developers contributed prizes to help bolster pre-orders. The CD pre-orders have raised thousands of dollars and the continued sales of the cds will raise much more money for those in need. More information (including musician bios, software developer contributions, and sound clips) can be found at www.katrinareliefcd.com . The cds cost $25 and can be ordered at http://www.katrinareliefcd.com/

While you are perusing the best sellers list at CDBaby.com, have a listen to the 'Tribe of Heaven' tracks. A pre-Dave Matthews Band Dave Matthews and a buddy from the group Deal. Quite beautiful stuff.

Also on the same list at the bottom of the page is a disc that was plugged last night on the Regis Philbin New Year's eve show with the actor John O'Hurley (the guy who played Mr. Peterman on Seinfeld) playing piano tracks underneath some electronic cello tracks. Suprisingly good if you like easy listening type stuff.

Too bad we couldn't have Regis say 'Buy Chrysalid to help victims of Katrina' at the same time.

marketing baby! and also, tap into peoples generosity during the holidays and let everyone know that there are many still homelss and without much hope in big parts of the destryoed areas. America has done much, now it's the rest of the world who need to take notice.

I just spoke with a friend that is in New Orleans right now. She says that it is a bizzare sight. Half of the city's lights are out. She says it is hit or miss as far as the damage goes. Some places are perfectly fine while other places look like war zones. Along the affected streets there are piles of debris stacked up that have been dredged from destroyed homes. Makeshift stop signs abound along these battered streets. A lot of business is open, but not as usual. Many restaurants are open only for dinner as employees are few and far between as many people have been alienated from the city, particularly the lower class. Rent is said to be extravagant as it is definitly a seller's market there. They are having Mardi Gras this year nonetheless. My friend says the people there need it and I don't doubt that at all.

Happy New Year everyone and thanks for making this whole thing worthwhile. :)
