If I wanted to post a track that I did...... how would I do that? Its in wav format

You need to host it somewhere and and link it. And please convert to mp3 first 'cause wavs are just too big for most people.

You have to find your own place to post your song, and then you post a link to it in the Music Cafe.
There are a lot of places out there for your song. My ISP lets me have 100 MB for 'free' - I use that for tests and insignificant stuff and delete old shite as I need space.
You could register and post your songs to the Auditorium, a lot of people do that. It's a great place, and totally free. Just remember to link to your post at the Auditorium, not to your song.
And I'd compress your song. Make mp3 or ogg or something. Not everyone's going to bother downloading a wav file.
