Original VST notes:

Translated to English from French:

Based on the work of a team of research in analogical simulation
Simulanalog Researsh Project, this VST is in fact a version with GUI of the superb emulator of JCM900 VST of Simulanalog.

Low modeling level is given the responsability to reproduce the faithful behavior of the apparatus, to the slappings of the réverb to the change of channel.

An imposing plug, of which I allowed myself with great humility the addition of a GUI.
All the work of treatment of the sound, I repeat it, is to the team of simulanalog!!

In an SE plug? Idunno about that one...I'll have to give it a try.

Yeah, I was wondering if it was somehow just the Simuanalog VST using SE to wrapperize it with a GUI. I think SE is able to do that.

The Simulanalog suite isn't SE to my knowledge.
Maybe the GUI version is...

No, I know it isn't. However, I am wondering if the person who made this version wrapped the original JVM900 VST within a Synthedit VST. The notes on the version indicate that it is the original simuanalog code, but he has added a GUI to it somehow.

This is cool. The GUI is a bit big (maybe huge?) for the number of controls.

It seems like only the GUI is SE as a wrapper, as it actually instals the original dll file inside a subdirectory as well.

This GUI will give it the same feel as the real amp when working with it.

Thanks.

So, you've been using a mouse to control the knobs of your hardware JCM?

Seriously, I prefer the generic interface under Logic, SX and eXT as I find sliders to be operated with way more ease.

I wish!!!

I could only afford the little MG15

Mouse works kinda fine with it, but only if swinging by the tail in an effort to disconnect or switch off!

:o Wow an amp simulation that looks just like a photograph of an amp, certainly an amazing innovation in GUI evolution. Truly the visual pinnacle by which all VST programmers should aspire. I can understand your excitement.

to clear up any confusion:
Le Chase- it is not an SE plug
and others-
it IS the simulanalog plug wrapperized. he explains that, it's just the babelfish translation that makes it a little bit vague.
resistors are futile you will be simulated

Z3R0T0N1N - yes it is, partially

however, as Sepheritoh put it, "It seems like only the GUI is SE as a wrapper, as it actually instals the original dll file inside a subdirectory as well".

So SE has little (nothing?) to do with the sound. It is just mapping GUI parameters.

But i guess that's what you were saying.

I'll ignore your sarcasm, lack of enthusiasm, trolling?, etc., and just simply inform (remind?) you that people have been requesting GUI versions for the simuanalog stuff for almost as long as it has been out. Many of us thought it would never happen. Imagine to my surprise........

--Sean

P.S. We all know what opinions are like.... ;-)

Post

People really have been requesting GUI versions of the simulanalog stuff? None of them are so complex that I would have thought it mattered. Now, the forever-coming-soon SimulAnalog Vintage Suite, I'd love to have tried that.

Post

Guess those people were using older VST versions, which indeed make you wish for a GUI version of each and every plugin featuring more than 3 parameters.

Very nice and helpful.
Of course those who don't like it can continue to use the "naked version".
Yes it's big...... huge..... I think it's time for the VST standard to adopt vector based GUI that the user can resize and it will be saved for next time you open the plug.
