That's some funny shit.
Reminds me of when I was a kid, brought up as a mormon & used to go to mormon 'dances'.
Around that time I was listening to a lot of early hip hop, dub & electro stuff & heavily into breakdancing & stuff like that.
Took some to a church dance & they played it, but then some youth 'chaperone' type dude took it off & they had a mini intervention on me, explaining that the bass frequencies were too low & 'evil' & that they'd let the devil take me over & if I didn't watch out i'd probably be inluenced by the evil satanic basslines & end the night smoking crack whilst gyrating to the warped bass & singing odes to satan & impregnating all the virginal little mormon girlies (virginal my arse, half of 'em could suck a golf ball through a 10 metre hose pipe).
These are the same ignorant buggers who tried to tell me that practising martial arts was o.k., but that the za-zen at the end of the seesion was a plot by the instructor to drag me into some eastern cult, or that doing yoga (as advised by my doctor after knackering my back) would lead me into the 'sin' of polytheism & probably end up with me having karmic sex with strange exotic eastern bints & drinking cows blood & shit (bloody wish - at least the karmic sex with exotic eastern bints bit, well there was this one gujurati lass I was seeing for a while who was like really into the karma-sutra & all that, but that is definately another story).
