I saw the rumour for this album on a german forum, and as no-one knows anything more about it it, we can only assume it's still a rumour. And I've got the laptop edition DVD - it's lovely, the book is beautiful, full of pics from tours and a few 'back-stage' photos. No words apart from the full DVD tracklisting.

I would like to buy the laptop edition but few months ago I bought the CDs so... buying again a dvd+cd compilation is stopping me... I was thinking buying the standard dvd edition... but the book seems so interesting...
80 euro are a little bit too much... for a book considering the 20 euro for the standard DVD edition...

Ah, but you get the marvellous laptop box as well as a strange 3d-ish image on the 'screen' of the laptop. And the printed keyboard on the front of the book is too real!
You know they consider themselves visual artists as well as audio artists, and this laptop set is a kind of pinnacle for them, I'm sure.
I'd suggest you start saving, you won't regret it!

...and (sorry for hammering...) what about dvd video quality ? I found forum with bad review about that. Someone say the dvd seems coming from poor home camera recorders (vhs quality), with bad '80ies transitions and effects...
I always considered Kraftwerk my 'top' artists... and It's very strange they released a not 'top' quality dvd...
Minimum-Maximum is a good compilation but... I'm 36 and I prefer the old real analog sounds (I bought an Alesis Andromeda A6 few months ago...). Minimum-Maximum sounds a little bit "cold" imho... who cares...

That's interesting - I've read reviews from a DVD site saying that this will be added to their reference DVD collection because it is of such high quality (apart from a few block blacks) in terms of the incredible sound and simple, but extremely effective, graphics.
I think what we forget as fans, is that they used to tour with the KlingKlang studio, but now technology has meant they can tour with (I suspect) well rendered samples of the kit they made the original noises on and simple filter these as they are played through <insert preferred sample playback device> and filtered/delayed/reverbed respectively.
You could check the brazilian technopop site for gear lists for the last tour, VST things like PPG and Waldorf DCoder are included as is Halion.
I think whether they sample their noises from the real world or spend three months tweeking an additive synth to make one vowel sound you're pretty much guaranteed clarity regardless of the source - they'll want it to sound absolutely perfect!
