Is it me or did this last update 5.03. Just make it more unstable. I have been leaning Project 5 to get things done.

not for me...what's happening to make ya think that 5.0.3 is causing problems?

When I'm using it my screen will flicker, CPU will spike and I get crackle sounds sometimes too.
I have my delta 44 buffer set at 256mb and it didn't crackle before, P5 doesn't crackle or anything else.

Hmmm. Maybe it's my config.

Mine crashes all the time. It was bad before, but now it's just silly. Seems to have lots of different causes, can't point to any common denominator.

didn't 5 by default change the plug in buffer or something?
I've heard it's best to set the plugin buffer to be the same as ones soundcard.

5.03 is now so unstable that it will not stay open for more than a few seconds once loaded. This is seriously screwed up.

I'm OK with regards to crashes as long as I don't try anything radical, like running Kontakt2.

I think my mistakje was uninstalling all previous versions before updating. :bang:

I just changed out my video card because my left screen (host screen) would flicker when running live 5.03 but not with P5v2. I would get crackling sounds out of P5v2 when I would stretch a window. So I wasn't real happy with either one of them. Anyway, just changed out the 256mb nVidia AGP for 256mb Radeon 9550 AGP. So far not a flicker! P5v2 still crackles when I stretch a window though.
So far Live 5 is looking really good. I have it loaded with 6 vsti and Ozone on the master channel.
3x Sytrus with hungry ass pad default preset.
3 Superwave. it's hitting 55% on the cpu.

not a flicker or crash... :)

Have you tried changing the pci latency on the 9550?
they dfault to 255 which is way too high.
If not grab the pci latency tool & try settin it to 64 or so - worked wonders for me.

same here.

I'll do a fresh winxp install sometime soon, maybe that'll cure it.

I'm not using the Radeon drivers with that tool. Windows XP loaded some compatible drivers automatically...It's workin so good that I'm gonna leave it.

Sorry to hear some of you are having problems. I haven't had any glitches here - still running very smoothly. But its a real pain when things don't work right :?

yeah they lost the map I think... :) from a more or less stable 4 they still are at buggy V5 that crashes a lot!!!!! I did the switch and work with V5, but have more crashes than I used to with V4.
