Exactly :)
After all, do we do this for other people to ooh and ah over, or do we do this to express ourselves?

ew
remember I did not post my music in this case for review...the attack came in a thread about FL and the person took it upon themself to click my link and then attack (and that's why my link is there)....that's my point, everyone knows music is personal too me and I believe the same as you...

trust me this is not a complaint, it's great imo... :D

not full, just one....attack someones art and it isn't the artist that looks bad...your an adult nuffink, maybe some of those not as mature will see that saying music sux helps those they attack
I know. I don't criticise other members music (BT aside). I don't post mine so I don't feel I have the right.

I don't get many comments anyways... I mean.. my latest album... not one f**king comment. You'd think 250 odd people... one of them would say something, even if it's "YOURZ TEH COONT LOLZ LOLZ! ..... :shrugs:
I'll comment later, I'm leaving now to visit a friend. I already clicked your three links in ya signature and will check your music. :)

Hey Chibs,

I just heard 2 tracks from your new album. I really like what I heard. I'm downloading all of your tracks right now. What I heard of your music until now is ranging between very interesting (HitoriNoKodokuNa) and extremely beautiful (Odayaka). Cool that you meantioned your new album, a very welcome discovery. Thanx a lot. :)

All the best, FRitz

i gotta admit, after listenin to "song " after song? at the auditorium and being frustrated by them, i have written reviews about how the songs don't suck that much. i won't give up tryin to find something i can give a positive review. i'm just gonna bite my tongue on the rest

personally, i don't mind bad reviews. it's all a learning experience. it's when my song gets stolen and turned into a piece of ambicrap that i start to lose faith in "music" makers

yes but bad reviews abd blatant attacks are two different matters, and again I welcome his attack...it didn't cost me anything, but I did benefit, in an allbeit small way.

That's my point of the thread, just what you said...insulting someones music is not going to hurt those with confidence in their music...so attacking someones music for the sake of hurting them can only backfire on them, as long as the artist is secure in his art...;)

Well, I ignore or laugh at that type of commentary. Really, it isn't worth any more than a bit of amusement.

Do you work in life to become better friends with shallow people? Do you endeavor to please them in real life (because surely we all must know some shallow people)?

So place those items in perspective, and the only thing you can do is pity them.

Now, if you want to know real disappointment and feel real anger at critics, start shopping your work to some major labels (have it shopped by industry people, such as pro management or IP Attorneys, which will cost you some dosh). After having done that for say 5 to 10 years, with the only results being (invalid) criticism for which you have no retort, then come back here and say that criticism didn't cut you to the bone.

Once you've done that, you'll be like me and ignore it or laugh at it.

Incidentally, the reason I know that the record execs criticisms were wrong, is because the audiences at the shows would always say exactly the opposite. The audience is king.

There will always be zits that will want revenge for something you've said or done, but you can't change your outlook because of them.

yet again the point is lost, no offense

simply put...those who think that insulting people through their music should find a more effecient way of insulting, it makes the person making the attacks look bad...I don't know about you, but I wouldn't hit myslf because I didn't like someone.

I'm amazed it keeps coming back to dealing with critics, when it's really about hecklers....if vurt understood the point then there is just no excuse for the rest of you...:hihi:

A heckler IS a critic.

Then again, I seriously wonder why I bother to share anything.

p.s when i imagine what ambient could be, it's nothing like what i've heard. if i were to record it, it probably wouldn't be considered ambient. i've never understood any form of ambient art. but i think if it's gonna exist, it should grab you by the spine and shake you. art is a drug. i want it to do something to me
