I didn't; I just wanted to add my 2 cents.

Anyway. What sort of fuckwit sits around and thinks "I wonder what other people on internet forums think about how music fits into their ideas of spirtuality"?

Some people just have too much time on their hands.

What a stupid f**king thread.
It's called a civilization. A place where humans exchange ideas, deep and obvious. If you truely think you dont have the time for that, or you arent willing to spend the time on it, then trust me when I say that you will feel silly when you are old if you have gone through life with such an attitude.

Probably doesnt mean shit coming from a teenager. Just my ONE cent.
What the f**k does this bullshit mean:
"It's called civilization. a place where humans exchange ideas, deep and obvious"..

... and how does that relate to anything????!?!?

and this:

"If you truely think you dont have the time for that, or you arent willing to spend the time on it, then trust me when I say that you will feel silly when you are old if you have gone through life with such an attitude."

I really don't think that when i'm old i will feel silly at all for paying out on dickheads who spend their time debating the connection between music and spirituality on internet forums.

Jesus Christ you people are fuckin' lame!

Actually it means a great deal coming from a teenager.
If Hoffy cannot even see the utter and total irony in
posting such a non opinion in a thread that means "nothing" anyway ....well what can I say really.
People like Bones at least have an opinion on the matter.
It isn't a case of wether or not I agree with their opinion.
Our thought processes are all unique and derived from a culmination of social , cultural , spiritual , ideologgical and phylosophical phenomina which is unique to each and everyone of us as individuals.
One just doesn't show what a " a stupid f**king thread" it is by posting or even gracing it with a reply.
If it's such a non event why bother.
Honestly it's a fair question to pose , ponder and discuss.
Spirituality is a pretty personal thing and how it affects our daily life (however subliminally), yes even on a subconscious level as individuals is an interesting subject in and of itself.
You may be a "teenager" Chase but you're a "teenager" who is more than willing to think for himself.
Don't sell yourself short just because your life experience is shorter than others.
It is no less valid or important irrespective of age or life experience.
All the more power too you I say.
This thread has made for some very good reading I might add.
Wow FaX, that is so deep man. I mean really, you've moved me. Deep. That is so deep.

It's really deep.

.........wanker.

In that case it will actually take old age for you to get it.

Actually... It's a good thing that you can recognise 'deep' at present...

Some would have you believe that you'd need to be an old-man-with-a-cane before you can understand the profound nature of their posts. And I guess, at that point in time, you'll have to look back at it all and say, 'Damn I feel silly'...

If you still have some colour in your hair, there might just be hope for you yet!

I'm not pissed about anything. I just find it f**king hysterical that people would waste their time posting shit on audio internet forums about spirituality.

It is really, really pathetic.

I can't even believe people would think about this sort of shit.

I can't believe you wouldn't think about this sort of shit. I can't believe you wouldn't think about the context of music in our world.

Pfft... Whatever floats your boat.

Not everything can be seperated and put into seperate categories hoffy. Some people are completely inspired by their spirituality to make music, or write or paint etc.

It's far too trendy nowadays to dismiss anything other than which can be witnessed on television. At least when nietzsche declared God is dead, he had put thought into his conclusion. Nowadays people say such crap without even knowing why.

Anyway......blah blah blah. :P My point is you shouldn't be offended by people talking about what undoubltedly inspires them....and the topic is in "everything else music related" how do you determine it's not related?

I just "discovered" Rammstein (yeah I know - but I tend to keep away from the mainstream). Listening to eg. Benzin from their latest opus is a nice comment on this thread. Music ain't 'bout the spirits. It's about balls. Sex. Body. More sex. Pure materialism. Music can displace you.

So called spirituel (or perhaps cerebral?) music is so boring that the only feeling it evokes is deep sleep.

:P

Post

And you're a cock for thinking that ;)

Would've been better to say SOME music is about the balls, SOME music is about the spirituality.

Or how about masculine and feminine, yin and yang... f**k it...

Oh man. I think you need to listen to some Current 93, Nurse With Wound and Coil.

f**k the feminines. On that I can agree...

Seriously. I don't think (anymore) that music is feminine, if you by feminine mean spiritual/cerebral etc. (Isn't that i bit sexist btw)? Music is body. If you wan't something for the brain then read a book. Or analyze some music. But really experiencing good music is not IMHO "spiritual".

What I mean is that if you have nothing better to do with your time than think aobut krap like that, it is because you have it way too easy. Meanwhile, teh rest of the world is expending the greater amount of it's individual thought processes just trying to stay alive. I would hope never to feel so comfortable in life that I would have time for that kind of idle speculation.
then i think you were going around the block a few times to cross the street...i understand your "point", i'm not a moron, i just was interested in the "one month" reference and it's why i asked, i didn't want to speculate, but with the military stuff you said later, i guess i'll take the liberty, but i won't bother to continue (don't wanna waste any more time ... )

seems obvious, but having synths/computers and such is a direct result of the study of reason and logic by many, many people with too much time on their hands wondering "what if?" and actually doing something, coming up with answers...not a waste of time at all!
KVR: come for the music, stay for the polemics and grammar lessons...
