Since when do they ask for username/passwords for demo's? It's been a while since I tried any of their demo's mainly due to price/pace,but the original X-Noise was very good if I rember correctly.Intersting,but............

They require an iLok dongle to just demo the plug-in... Is that called 'professional approach' nowadays? If Waves sets standards (we all know that, eh?) I do not need such standards. One word - ridiculous.

AFAIK this plugin is licensed by Algorithmix and marketed in a Waves GUI. Should be excellent although I've heard that algorithmix never licenses the high-fidelity versions of the algorithm.

Waves Linearmultiband was also based on Algorithmix technology, apparently, but at a lower resolution.

Right on. These companies can deep throat their dongles.

Instead of fighting piracy, they're only begging for it. imho.

As long as you and torben keep making plugins without these protections, I will never need to worry tho. ;)

You think this is another Algorithmix algo?
Their previous X-series is stated as having such an algorithm  Didn't know Algoritmix has so many algos since they also have just two nr plugins.
Anyway.
And regarding the MB, since Algorithmix never released a mb I suppose you're probably talking about the LinEq in the first place.
And, by the way, the demo conditions just suck.
Cheers.

I must admit their policy of buy before you try does make me laugh. Although I suppose if you're going to shell out on Waves plugins, then a few dollars for a dongle wouldn't upset you. It makes you think they only sell to confirmed customers? I can't imagine too many who own no Waves products without an iLok actually buying an iLok to demo them. Seems bizarre.
But then so is the fact they use PACE and are probably the most cracked s/w music company on the planet. Every f**ker who can't even find the play button on their host seems to have Waves limiters and multibands.

I swear I dunno how Waves are successful. Every ploy they use to lose sales seems to work positively for them. Go figure.... :?

Aleksey, I don't think iLok is too expensive for you ;) Take it easy, mate, there are TO people around :hihi:

Aah, yes, I meant the Linear Phase eq, not the multiband (though I suspect the crossovers are same code as algorithmix hp/lp filters in the eq package).

It is possible, since they have it. Though the quality is.... let's say, different.
Why don't they do something else entirely in-house made at Waves??
I'll say no more so I won't offend anybody.
