heya...
I just bought an upgrade box to Pro Tools LE 7 and it comes with two free plug-ins... and you can choose those two out of this list
Pultec Bundlle
DINR
Slightly Rude Compressor
Smack!
Synchronic
well I'll be choosing the Smack! for sure but I'm not sure wether to take the Slightly Rude Compressor or the Pultec Bundle as the second choice
any views on those???
cheers,
mully

okay so after some forum reading I ended up with the Pultec Bundle and Smack!
and my inital tests are very satisfying....
Smack! really doesn't leave much place for another compressor it's pretty versatile and looks good
and the Pultec Stuff - well no clue if it sounds like a real Pultec (never heared one in action) but it sounds really different from other EQs I tried so far and very musical....
not bad for spending €20 extra

Hi multree,
I have chosen exactly the same plugins (Smack! and Pultec Bundle) and I love 'em. If you have a flat drum track, Smack! will give it the punch and Pultec the transparency your mix deserves. Pultec is the wonder-box I've been waiting for so long.
If you have a few more bugs left, get Moogerfooger Analog Delay, it's awesome. It perfectly fits the sound of Smack! and Pultec.
So... happy mixin'

i ended up not getting the free bundled plugins for certain reasons but i did consider Synchronic. I heard demos of it and i just couldn't figure out what is unique about that plugin. does anyone use it and stand by it?

Pultec would be my first choice and the BF emu is very good, then I'd choose between comps(most likely Smack).
