Of course, it's the lowest form of humour. I believe that you were instigating primarily because you were very obstinate towards all of my posts in a previous thread and went out of your way in this one (i.e. 2 successive posts), as well.Hink wrote: second perhaps you should understand sarcasm...you were the only one that thought that was instigating...![]()
You're an idiot! You just contradicted yourself and then "shrug it off" by claiming that other people on this board are much worse than you. You were mocking me. This, of course, fits the definition (i.e. sarcasm).Hink wrote: edit: btw in no way did I intend to humiliate you, that was just sarcasm, I'm sorry you took it that way...I'm mellow compared to many here...
Look, I prefer to communicate with the bigger minds on this board, and have had quite a good track record, until you came about and decided to tag along. Go away! (Thank you.)

We changed our drag&drop method to OLE, which is more powerful. If your plugins can be updated to support OLE drag&drop, they will work with FL (just like the windows explorer & IE).6.05 still does not allow drag and drop of BFD groove. This was working in vs 5.

none, this one is just more powerful, it allows to give feedback when hovering, more accurate events, etc. It's what allows the Fruity Slicer to create the slice wav whenever you drop and the drop succeeded, and not at the time you start dragging. It also allows a nice visual feedback, and just just a cursor. It also allows a target to tell if it accepts the file, checking its format first. What problems were you having with it before?

Indeed, you could have applied this to yourself and kept using FL5, which 'wasn't broken'. Instead, you installed FL6 to.. get new features, and this is one of them. We won't limit the development of our sequencer because of existing plugins.

At least make it an option. It has caused problems with 2 people in this thread alone.tony tony chopper wrote:Indeed, you could have applied this to yourself and kept using FL5, which 'wasn't broken'. We don't make an option of everything we change. You have 2 options already:
1. keep using FL5 that works for you
2. encourage the plugin devs to support OLE drag/drop (that's a standard since windows 3.1 I believe)
I don't want to keep using old things just for compatibility with plugins. If you do, then you can keep using old things (FL5).

Funnily enough "compatibility with plugins" is quite important to me when using a host.tony tony chopper wrote:I don't want to keep using old things just for compatibility with plugins. If you do, then you can keep using old things (FL5).
Is version 5 still available for download anywhere ?

I agree, but what about plugin compatibility with hosts? To resume the situation, FL6 uses something new, and the plugin you use uses something old. Instead of asking your plugin dev to uptate to something new, you ask me to get back to something old.
