Actually, it's really tough to pick a "best" freeware VST; there are SO many good ones! I guess I'd have to go with the little-known QSpectPro; this is an awesome spectral analysis tool and has saved my ass on many mixes since I discovered it.

Extra Boy was indispensable for remixes too.

Given the number of downloads I clocked on Extra Boy, I was surprised not to see it sooner in this thread.

FYI, Extra Boy was lauched on 16th March 2005, and has been freely available for all of this time. Only very recently, I made it donation-ware. And, yes, I have quite a number of respectable donations.

Extra Boy Pro is coming soon!

Hey, while I have you here - didn't I see a picture on another thread where Extra Boy had a spectral display? Oh yeah, here it is:

Is that the Pro version? I didn't see the "Extra Tools" on my version...

Extra Boy Pro has gone a long way since that very early teaser.
