From the big 3 hardware manufacturers (Y/K/R) I don't expect anything interesting, just a rehash of old technology (just continuing what they have done the past 10 years). Roland bringing out a JV-1080/5080 VSTi would be a real chocker, but keep on dreaming. Korg bringing out a virtual Z1 would be another dream scenario.
Behringer is supposed to bring out a new digital mixer, hopefully they've integrated a firewire interface also (maybe a copy of the Yamaha 01x). More or less they could be "remixing" their past technologies such as the B-controllers, the new firewire interface and their DDX3216 mixer. They could also throw in one of their favorite led-backlit tubes to make it sound "warm" But why not, if the price is right.
There will probably be a whole bunch of new chinese made mics also from a variety of rebadgers.
There will probably also be some rediculously expensive esoteric tube based front ends and mic preamps, the more expensive the better.
There will probably be a whole bunch of USB/firewire based MIDI-controllers/keyboards also, most cheapish and without aftertouch and lacking decent screens.
I would be surpriced if not at least one manufacturer did show a PCI-X soundcard. At least there are already Protools based PCI-X cards out.
I guess that Apple will show the new Intel-based laptops, finally some performant laptops to the poor Apple people.
If not everyone has tired already there will probably be even more terrabyte-sized-sample-everything-forever-with-hundred-levels-of-velocity-sampleplayers.
I would like to see a virtual Roland Jupiter 8 (yeah!), a virtual Ensoniq ESQ-1, a virtual Fairlight, and last, but not least, a virtual Kazoo
.
But who asked for my opion?

I'd love the virtual Fairlight too. I saw a real one for sale in Stockholm (Sweden) for about USD 5,000 a year ago. It was a little expensive for my ego then (I'm a bit cheap you know
).
