...there's all kinds of sample FX out there. Just do a search and I'm sure you'll find samples for free somewhere. I found everything from cricket sounds, lion roars, crow caws, lightning...Google

Something that never occurred to me was the change in acoustics that a theatre undergoes when it's full of bodies. I watched a FoH guy at a recent show trim out his board from a sound check... and then systematically tweaked it when the band started playing to the full house. THAT was a cool thing to see, and the guy was a master of his art. He had a really cool software spectrum analyzer, which I've never seen even in an ad anywhere, and he had a really cool touchscreen controller, and I've never seen anything like that either. In fact, *most* of their gear was stuff I've never seen or heard of, even among folks who drool over the high end.

I guess, among other things, a few thousand people means you don't have a bare cement floor anymore.

Floors should be made of rubber instead of concrete/cement.

Besides body's (empty, half packed of full packed house) also the humidity plays part in live shows; when you have a lot of moisture (due to heavy beer consumption, and even throwing with beers) the acoustics change so that feedback on stage happens sooner.

So don't throw that beer; you might cause feedback :)

What kind of music are you making, anyway? :)
GLHF! (Gandalf Lives, Hobbits Forever!)

I would just sample crowd noise of a 'live set' recording. I guess its 'technically' illegal, but Im sure no one is going to take you to hell for sampling 3 seconds.

Id be this is what Scooter did anyway.

If this doesnt float your boat, then why not go to a gig and take an MD recorder with you and a stereo mic? Problem solved!

Post

actually, I think you just need to use StompBud. Maybe a few instances.

I do some stage mixing.
I hardly ever visit shows for personal pleasure.
In fact, over the last few years, I only visited every IQ gig, and no other gig whatsoever.
