I think most original music comes about through chance discovery and the greater the perfection, the less the chance of anything new coming out of it.

@steveholt....you are so right, as he was mentioned earlier let's bring Niel back up for a moment, he once said when he makes a mistake he goes with it to see where it leads "what's that Lassie, little Timmy is trapped in the well?" how will you know if you don't go and see?
One only needs to listen to Ozzy's Tribute to see that even Randy was human...right from the star he screws up....if you have the album listen to when he starts I don't know (first song)....if he maintained that pace the song would of been over in 30 seconds. You can hear when the drums come in they snap him back on tempo. Then listen to the solo in Paranoid...sounds too me like he falls off the strings, but maintains his composure to make it seem like it was part of the show...almost innovated...

Yeah, but this plugin has some lackings like volume velocity control which makes this plugin only usefull for the electrict guitars and in some occasions the bowed instruments (strings, violin and cello) but with these instruments here the harmonics behave pretty unreliable.Meffy wrote:The virtual instruments I most enjoy the sound of tend to be those that have an organic feel, such as AAS' physical modelling stuff. Its one of the reasons why i dont like super-virtuosity in music - it can get quite boring really quickly.
I think it is also the reason why a lot of electronic music can sound sterile: it might be stunning and wonderfully programmed, but without the quirks of the user - it turns into a steve vai solo

I think hanging out at kvr can skew your perspective on this. There are vast tracts of music out there where sterility isn't venerated. Your gin-soaked bluesman isn't fretting about anti-aliasing on his vsts.
