We'll see how legal eagle we are when we use these samplers in our tracks, eh, Johhny?

:P
Bands like Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly did it all the time. I doubt that they ever got any clearances for it either. I imagine that they're enough out of the mainstream that it shouldn't matter. I figure I'm even that much further out of the mainstream. :hihi:

Exactly.

I also remember seeing a movie a few years ago called Clive Barker's Lord of Illusions. I seem to remember a line spoken by the main villian which gives me the chills. It is when he says in a deep, menacing voice: "I was born to murder the world." Sickle, if you can get you hands on that sample, it might add nicely to your collection.

I remember it, Rabban..

So many good lines out there..I'm thinking maybe I should build a single sampler ensemble and toss out individual sample sets as I go..

Probably the best way to do it, but I love the idea of a special one for each..

I always wanted to use that line in something.

If only Clive Barker would come back to doing actual horror again sometime....

Too bad his hom-oops, better not say that here..

Something got the better of him, and it wasn't his love of horror..

I don't know if it's been mentioned before (10 bloody pages already!!) but when the little kid in 6th Sense whispers "I see dead people" the hair on my arms raises!

Post

sickle.. since you have assembled a nice collection of good samples here, would you want to release them in wav or something, for those of us that don't have reaktor?

Post

speaking of lord of illusions, there's the other one that FLA have used..
"Ever watched a man die? If you look close enough, you can sometimes see the soul escaping."

ehrm..

No.

:P

Seriously, when all this is said and done I seriously doubt I'd have the room to host all that..I might consider converting em all to mp3, though..Shouldn't hurt things too badly, considering we're mainly talking about spoken word, etc..

Go with .ogg or something similar in that case. Mp3 has to have silent space at the start, otherwise it causes some audio ugliness. Ogg doesn't, so it will save you the time of editing in a second of silence on every file.
