Train Kept a Rollin' by the Yardbirds
Paul Samwell-Smith
my brother and i were the rhythm section in a little garage band way back then. he labored over those Samwell-Smith bass parts. 'Smokestack Ligthnin' and 'I'm a Man' (live) ain't bad parts either -- when he breaks into those walking runs -- well there weren't a lot of players doing that back then

"Girls and Boys" by Blur

Learned the bassline and then saw them live. The bassist was off his head and could barely play the part :)

Les Claypool (& the Holy Mackerel)- The Awakening

simply the most amazing bass solo I have ever heard, gives me chills every time I listen to it.

"Love Machine" by Supermax has a pretty damn great bass part as well. Maybe not the best of all times but certainly enjoyable.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.
