Anyone into this group?

Listening to their disc, "34.788%... Complete" and there is a track called Heroin Chic. Really f**king good melodies and sound design.

I have 1 older album, white cover. can't remember the name, mid '90. but the lamented vocal was a bit too much. still on the same direction?

anyway was interesting at the time, not much chance to hear some violin action in doomish stuff..hope they got a better production.

I hope that she gets better soon. :(

I didn't think anyone else on kvr listened to this kind of music. You guys just made me post for the first time. yay.

I'd also like to know: What's the new My Dying Bride album sound like?
evolve.

Not heard of a new one? Will have to check their site. I think Like Gods Of The Sun is probably my favourite album.

I wasn't sure if people on KvR listen to anything other than "acceptable by the masses" music, which is why I ask.

Generally if anything has a bit of screaming in it or heavy guitars and has a doomish outlook, it doesn't go down too well. Hehe.

Good stuff. My fav would have to be Turn Loose The Swans, though. Haven't heard the latest stuff, will have to check it out.

I used to be a big fan of My Dying Bride but I found "34.788%... Complete" so disappointing at the time that I pretty much lost interest in the group. The older stuff is still good, though. The latest I haven't even heard.

Too slow and doom-laden for me. Stick some blastbeats in there, my son!

"the angel and the dark river", that was the cd.
I used to be some kind of informed headbanger years ago, hehe..

It's the only one I have - last listen maybe 5 years ago, should change that soon.

edit: Paradise Lost - Icon I did like very much too these times.

Plenty of us headbangers on here, we just keep the volume turned down. :)
