Someone has offered me Reason Adapted for $20. Is it worth it? Can you save and render files with that?

Post

Assuming they're going to give you their serial number (and not try to keep a copy for themselves) I think it is. Adapted is a limited version, with a fixed set of modules. Within the limitations of that set, you can do whatever you like. :-) You can also get a decent upgrade price for the full version.

Note that you cannot rewire reason adapted. I believe that you can save and render files. It is only a tease, though. You don't have the Combinator.

Also, I am not sure of what version of reason adapted it is. Will that make a difference or not?

My version of Reason Adapted can be ReWired. My only beef with it is that you're not entitled to download the ReFill packer, which would be great for use after creating some NN-XT patches.

pdadda, there are different versions of Adapted. Each has a different selection of units, and there might be other variations too. Safest thing would be to ask the seller exactly which devices are in the version he or she is selling.

The Rewire thing I don't know about -- don't have Adapted installed right now, though I'm probably going to put it on a laptop soon.

I was sure that Reason Adapted shipped with the M-Audio delta series cards (I'm thinking of a 2496) but I see no mention on the site anymore :-(
Just emailed sales, just in case.

Mine is Reason Adapted For ReCycle. The Props offered it to us registered users of ReCycle some while back.

It includes:

1x Hardware Interface

1x Mixer

1x RV7000 Reverb

3x Dr Rex players

1x NN-XT Sampler

It ReWires into all my ReWire hosts perfectly.
