Hi.
I recorded this demo song from yamaha p80 E.PIANO 1 patch : mp3
I tried to record midi, but midi out is disabled when demo song is being played.

Is there a way to enable midi out during demo song playback in Yamaha P80 (or any way to get midi file of the demo songs stored)?

Or, does anyone have the song above in midi format?

why would you want to change a CLASSIC like that? Its so perfect as is... :hihi:

Seriously tho I doubt there is a way to dump out the midi to the onboard rom without some sort of hack tho...

is that a CLASSIC? then do you know the title and composer of the song? I'm not tyring to edit the file..i'm trying to learn to play the song. So, basically, I want a transcript of the song.. but i thought midi would do.

No.

And as for it being a classic, that is one of the original songs written for the P80 demo. This is spelled out in the manual, but the tracks are listed in order and not according to voice, so it's not easy to tell which one this is.

that's "Preset" song list.
The song I'm looking for is "Demo" song. I thought the song that I'm looking for might have been used for other synthesizers that allow midi dump..

It's not on the list? You're talking about the demo song that plays when you press "Demo" and "E.Piano 1"
right? The DX-ish tone. If it's not documented in the manual, maybe someone mentioned it on rec.music.makers.piano at some point?
