Following on from a recent thread, I have become intrigued by Reason Adapted.

I am in the market for a new soundcard and the bundling (or not) of this app may be a factor.

I see that M-Audio don't bundle it anymore :-(

Anyone got Reason Adapted? If so - how did you get it?

My dream would be a Redrum and a Dr Rex to rewire into my (sson to be) host, Cubase SE3 :-)

I got mine bundled with an Audiophile 2496. It's EXTREMELY limited - just a fixed bank of the units, one of each. I guess it would do what you describe, but I think it may only work with the card it was bundled with.

Got it with the Audiophile, too.

As TheUDE wrote: It's pretty limited (no NN-XT, no Maelstrom, etc.). It will do what you intend to do. Only loads the Refills included in the bundle, though.

Are you guys sure adapted does Rewire? I used to have it installed and I'm pretty sure there was no Rewire... Just standalone.

Post

Adapted is somewhere between a demo and a full app. Kind of like SampleTank Free. You can use it to make real music, but the idea is to get you wanting the real thing. Which is a pretty good real thing IMO.

my copy works when rewired to FLStudio.

Well, I only bought my Audiophile last year, so even if the bundle deal's finished, you MAY be able to find old stock somewhere that still has that version of Reason. Depending how much you want to pay for a soundcard or whatever, it looks like there are a few other (better) options out there for you, like even full versions of Reason 3 (though personally, I'd focus on getting a soundcard that was 100% what I wanted, never mind what was bundled with it).

Here's the results of an incredibly crude Google search which may give you some leads: http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q= ... arch&meta=

Choice bits include the Radium Bundle at Digital Village: http://www.dv247.com/invt/28145

In any case, why do you say that Reason Adapted's not bundled any more? From what I can see, the "Maximum Audio Tools software bundle" still includes Reason Adapted (along with some freebies available elsewhere that I think M-Audio have a cheek including, but that's by the way):

If you're in any doubt, get the vendor to confirm (preferably in writing) what's included with the bundle before you place your order.

For the Audiophile, Dolphin Music's price is pretty good nowadays, and I wouldn't pay more in the UK:
