Forget about vocal removing.
People, if it does what I think, this could be the cheap version of reNOVAtor which is listed at 2490 EUR (that's more than 100x of Elevayta's price!!).
Anyway, I've purchased this for continuing support of Elevayta's great products. Cant' wait to try ExtraBoyPro tonight.
BTW, thanks Space Boy for Space Boy. :D

wow! I knew spectral graphs would be good for something one day! This is amazing for stripping samples! Works a charm! :D

So now every time somebody asks if they can isolate the vocals, there is a product to refer them to! I wonder how well this works on busy mixes. I will definately have to give this a try! I have to say, that your products are some of the best and most creative ones around, and at the best price! Thanks again man!

Way cool! Very impressive concept. Yet again, Elevayta lives up to it's motto. Affordable innovation :D

A great tool to enhance Aerosmith records, btw.

Where's the Space Boy Pro preorder link :hyper:

Isn't Space Boy already pro? :D

Excellent and innovative-looking plug-in, as usual!

What about vocal isolation? Has the holy grail been found?

Post

We'll know the holy grail's been found when they're able to recreate parts based on available information. For example, if your voice shares exactly the same frequencies as other instruments at a particular point in time, no 'isolation' will result in a truly pure voice-only extraction. You'd have to strip everything that doesn't match the timbre of the voice, and then rebuild any missing fragments with formant/timbre synthesis of some sort.

I think we're a long ways off from that, still.

Duuuuude.. this thing kicks ass.. I tryed the demo in Adobe Audition 1.5 and it is a great add on to the frequency domain editor built into AA.. I was having major problems when I would take out a sound in the frequency domain and end up with a hollow sound.. I tryed everything to fix this , pitch shifting, copy and pasting audio, time streching man everything. Now it looks like there is a proper solution to this prob...

I have 1 request. Please add a marquee that can be resized and moved around maybe even shaped (ie: circles, triangles, freehand) That would make it perfect..

Great job Elevayta Devs!!

Hey Paul, Happy New Year, man!

:D

Question:

I've been working lately with sampling dialogue from film. I've been using Audition's center channel extract to help isolate speech against the background music/sounds, etc..

How does this effect compare against Audition's extractor? I'm really not very experienced at doing this kind of thing, and while I've been relatively satisfied with the results obtained so far, on samples with a large degree of background audio you can hear an odd tinny effect that's not too my liking.

Any advice or idiot-proof comparing is greatly appreciated. I plan on doing an extensive amount of sampling in the future, and I got no problem adding this to my Eleveyta collection if it does the bizz better than Audition..

Cheers,
D

So I am guessing this could also be used as a noise reduction tool too? Any comments?

I've used the non pro version for noise reduction and it works. Assuming this would work even better. :)

Thanks tuz! I think I will have to get this then as I've got a real problem when plugging directly into the line-in of my soundcard from guitar - nothing I have tried has worked in getting rid of it... but this just might! :D
