Vokator: EFFECTIVE-RELIABLE-GOOD SOUNDING.

oh well, three out of four anyway.

Vokator is probably the best specified and good sounding in this plugin category though not neccesarily the most intutive to use.

Dude, check out Clone Boy @ http://www.elevayta.com/

At $19.95, it's a wicked bargain. FYI: it also comes in a bundle, which includes 3 other great plugs for $54.

Wow- 6 replys and 5 different responses.

I like orange vocoder 2! The build in pads are nice and the external is good too.

But I didn't buy it because it was too expensive.
I use talk box or some buzz plugins.

OrangeVocoder 2.
AKAI vocoder. to name a few

Orange Vocoder is nice but dear. The best trade-off between price and quality is definitely the FL Vocoder; there's a VST version on the cover of Computer Music magazine usually.

I want a vocoder that I can use for rap vocals to change the timbre of the vocals, but still they listener can hear everything that is said. With the vocoders I've tried they aren't precise enough. I'll have to try clone boy.

The Vocoder plugin inside SX is very good too.

Another vote for Cloneboy as well, loved it when I tried the demo, still on my list of stuff to get.
