are you sure you don't mean 1/4 tone? I might be mistaken but every step now is a 1/2 tone...no?

I mean 1/2 tone. But 1/4 tone may be interesting too.
It's called cluster in 20th century classical music I think. But how does it sound if you do the same thing with pure sine waves over the whole frequency sepctrum?

Why don't you just try for yourself? Should be rather easy.
