What do you think of these 2 amp sim sounds?
I'm going for as heavy and as tube sounding as possible.
These are raw, no eq, no compression.

In "naked" form I seem to prefer clip 1. But it might as well be clip 2 fitting a mix better.
What did you use?

What kind of advice are you looking for? If you know the sound that your looking for - heavy and tube sounding - you can choose for yourself? Or don't you know what 'tube' sounds like and now you want 'our' advice on which resembles it most?
I seem to like clip 1 more, but maybe just because there seems to be more low (in my speakers), although - as said - if you use it in a mix with also a bass and kickdrum, clip 2 might fit better.
btw with this much drive and distortion I get more or less the same sound when I play MrRay or LL3 thru one of the amp sim VST's.

I'm too close to these sounds now... spent too much time poking & prodding them, so I'm looking for some educated advice/opinion.M'Snah wrote:What kind of advice are you looking for?

Yeah.. maybe I should do that, then post those clips.
I was thinking that I should pick the sound before making the song, but maybe its better to slap some drums and bass on these samples, THEN ask you to check em out.
