Hi
Is anyone using ManyGuitar successfully with ACID 5? Or has ACID been officially listed as a host that's compatible?
I'm very interested in ManyGuitar but need to know for sure it'll 100% work with ACID before I can purchase. As far as I can tell, there's no demo available.
Thanks
ZdB

Are there specific functions or other things that you need?
I use Manystation and Wusikstation in ACID 5 (Pro) without problems. Using means in my case recording / playing MIDI, with modwheel action.

Thanks M'Snah, though I was referring specifically to ManyGuitar. Has anyone got experience of using this with ACID 5 Pro?
On another note, what's ManyGuitar like for full-on hard rock guitar sounds? Again, there's no plugin demo available, right?
Thanks

Hi Zero dB
As far as i know ManyGuitar works fine in Acid.
I think we have 1 small bug in that the plug currently shows up in your Acid VST List labelled as "Eve One" instead of "ManyGuitar". But this will be fixed in a future version and in no way should it cause you any trouble.
But that said I have not tested myself fully as I only have ACID 4 but there are NO Bad reports at all since release.
As for a Demo.
Being Sample Based it is pretty hard to demo the full product. We will have a light demo soon ...But I worry that it will be misleading and not fully show the product as we can only include a few sounds in it really.
As for Hard Rock sounds .... Out of the Box it has some great rock style samples and sounds. It does not have everything though. With guitars it take a lot of different sets to get it right.
There is room for more styles and samples ....chuggs and more heavy chords etc. and these will come in addons over time. That said though she will still Scream For you as is!
Read our forum for what folks are saying about it.
NOTE: Our website and mail are temp down due to a server change.
Should be up again soon

It would need to double-checked, but I would assume if ACID 5 Pro is able to run VSTis with the likes of WusikStation and ManyStation it should be able to run ManyGuitar also. Again, it would be best if someone could confirm that.Zero dB wrote:Thanks M'Snah, though I was referring specifically to ManyGuitar. Has anyone got experience of using this with ACID 5 Pro?

I think you'll find that ManyGuitar has some presets that are VERY suitable to hard rock sounds, especially shredding lead guitars. You can make some cool powerchord sounds also, so I think you'd be covered in the hard rock department.

Thanks guys. Very helpful info. I'd be interested in trying even a very cut down demo as it would help me decide if ManyGuitar is defintely for me; do you have a timeframe for when this may happen Paul?
Otherwise, are you planning on adding more audio demos soon?
Thanks again

Sorry... too Many plugins (pun intended). Yes ManyGuitar plays perfectly in ACID too, after the tiny annoyance of finding it, as Paul explained above (in my case: picking the right EVE ONE plugin from 3 identical entries in the VST list) Tested in ACID 5 Pro. If it helps I can also test it in ACID 6 Studio (although I'd have to reinstall that).
