Am I right in assuming this plugin does not work well with mono audio?

If so, would it work better when mono audio is converted to stereo first (well rather, dual mono)?
You are right. Although it may still help you identify and remove/boost certain frequencies associated with particular instruments/voices.

I don't expect it to work any better when you convert a mono to stereo file. The information content required for the processing is just not there. 2 x the same thing = the same thing.

I suggest you try it on the kind of material that you are expecting to use it on.

Space_Boy & peter01 - Heres my lil sound hack to get mono to work..

- take mono file convert to stereo..
- delay either the right or left side and delay a few seconds (this might sound wierd but I get more spread in the 2d window.. convert to mono back after..)

Also you could use a stereoizer effect (havent try this yet!!)

nice work, dude, this is a cool tool!

Dude, this is way past cool! 8)

I just imported a few MP3's into Cubase and played around with them using Extra Boy Pro, and was pleasantly surpsied at the practicality of such a plug. This can be used for a number of applications within the recording arena. Well done.

Yup- I just bought it, and who could blame me? Right on! :D

Just bought this one.
Many thanks for developing this amazing tool.

In this domain (i.e. digitial audio software) my experience is that a high price is no guarantee of quality.

The human condition is such that we are programmed to believe that if it is expensive it must be good - and vice versa (even when our ears tell us otherwise). Some devs make extremely high quality plug-ins and give them away for free - I just charge a very modest price.

When the name Elevayta becomes as synonymous with audio plug-ins as Ferrari is to racing cars - then I guarantee that the plug-ins I produce will become expensive.

So, if you checcked out the demos, you like them and find them useful, my advice is to buy a license before another company buys me out and they become too expensive. :hihi:

P.S. If you want to pay more - you can always buy 10 licenses

Space_boy.. I was wondering if there is a way that you could add a side chain OUTPUT so that one could add effects etc to the extracted audio only? I do release this would probably only work in a modular host like AudioMulch or energyXT.. It would make it easier than having to create a separate mixer module to do the same thing.. Just a thought???

You could use Stream Boy to syphon off the original track to another audio track in your host and then apply Extra Boy Pro to only one of those tracks. You would then have the extracted audio on one track and the original on another. You could apply effects to these independent tracks just as you like.
