xander wrote:DotNoir sent us a VERY NICE translation of our press release in Finnish :) (good job, thanks for that mate).

We need some more language translations to put on the website to help reflect the multinational type effort.

So far we have English, Chinese, Spanish and Fin. We need German, Italiano, French, Swedish, Dutch, Dansk, Slovenian, Norvegan, Romanian, Latvian, Polski, Russian and Welsh... Any others ya think?
I can take a stab at the German and Swedish - if those that speak those natively promise not to laugh too loudly.

(Wait a minute - before I go off and do this - isn't it generally true that most Germans and Swedes speak English better than Americans?)

I can speak Tarzan-German and Swedish, but I'm always ashamed at my lack of vocabulary in those two languages.

Got mine a few days ago.

Just wanted to add my two cents to this massive thread and thank everyone who contributed, including not only the persons who invested a lot of time in conceiving and carrying out out the project, but also the talented artists who contributed songs to this CD, the many developers who contributed a wide array of dazzling prizes, and of course everyone who has purchased or will purchase the CD. :)

I actually just put the press release website into FreeTranslation.com and the German version is understandable to this Germlish speaker. I would just copy/paste the contents if necessary.

I must say I´m happy to have ADSL.

I had to use the english, french, spanish and dutch versions (shit, the german people´ve got it in english, now that I think of it !).

For me this part was the toughest part; it was like real work/labour ! :help:

The day the music died

"Author and critic Nik Cohn has been obsessed by New Orleans for more than 30 years, and has been involved in the rap scene there for the last five. Six months after Hurricane Katrina he revisited the city and was stunned by what he found. In this compelling despatch he describes communitites struggling to piece together their lives as they watch their city being ripped apart by politicians and planners with designs on a very different New Orleans."
