Just visited Kristin Hersh's web page for the first time in a while and they are giving away the new 50 Foot Wave EP for free download in mp3 and FLAC format. Haven't heard it myself yet but I liked their first album, and I'm a longtime fan of Throwing Muses

That's very nice of them. More bands should do this (as opposed to the 128-160kbps mp3's or drm'd *wma files they tend to offer as a "gift".)

Have had a chance to listen to this now - it's really good, if you like that kind of thing. I'm liking it more than some of the other 50' wave stuff - still heavy but more tunefull.
