Updated file in the User Library. Only thing added from what I posted earlier is a limiter snap/random isolated in the 'On' position. I suggest everyone grab it, cause I don't want anyone's hearing to get fux0red goofing off with this.

I think so to a point; what I mean is I think you should have more recognition. Maybe super-laid back would have been better. I took that part out.

I've not seen sickle around here for a long time, his last post was nearly 2 yeaars ago. Someone might know how to contact him but I doubt sickle will respond directly.

I have a couple of later versions of this as I was making snaps for Don and we did have some discussion about releasing it a couple of months ago but I left the ball in his court and I guess he has not got round to it yet. I don't really want to release it myself as it's his work and it's up to him what he does with it - I have to say it's probably one of the top 5 ensembles I have though at the moment.

It looks very interesting indeed.

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

It looks it.
I didn't want to, but I was forced to mess with the dated interface and try to bring it up to speed a bit, if possible. I've had two frakking Reaktor crashes while I was in the process of doing this so far..
Same old, same old..
I'll have this up here shortly.

Gaugear Mod, v616 - Download
Notes:
I really was intending to hold fast and not even open this ensemble before distributing it. I knew what would happen if I did, and I don't have the time right now to permit having my brain eaten by Reaktor again..
So much for that.
In the course of my third attempt at a quick and dirty reworking, while it ran in the background it reminded me what an amazing synth this really is, and how great Stephen is as a patch designer.
Stephen truly is in a class of his own.
Because of the effort that he put in extending the patch banks on what would have been abandonware without his polite persistence to re-engage my interest, this would not have been made available again, most likely.
And surely not with the new interface and extra bits.
Added Jan 2012:
'Performance Interface', on panel B. Minimal controls, all have tool tips. I'm pretty pleased with this, and probably wouldn't have released it without this being added. The old version I made had an enormous, clunky console looking thing that reminded me of an old 70's stereo receiver and I always hated it.
The Semi-randomizing engine (at heart its a modified meLodion; credit: Rick Scott/Rachmeil) is now encapsulated enough that it can be easily removed and used as its own ensemble in/out of Reaktor at will.
Gaugear is f**king L O U D, so I put in a special limiter macro that was modified for me by Deiter Zobel for my Broken Tremolo ensemble. Even so, watch your levels, this thing is a beast.
Enjoy!

haha - cool - finally.
The new B page is perfect - thanks Don
Some of my patches take a minute or so to really get going
and a few have the randomiser turned off - you get different results from scratching on the mousepad or having it on

Great, another Reaktor ensemble to add to my 'Easy Listening' folder!
