While it's possible to do this "by hand", i mean note-by-note, it takes SO MUCH TIME that your flow is 10 times dead before you can achieve four bars.

So i guess these guys are using tools which help making the process more fluid :

WHAT IS THE BEST ENVIRONNEMENT/TOOL/VSTi for REALTIME/GOODSOUNDING MASHING-UP of BEATS ?

I need to be able to GAIN-PITCH-TRILL-REVERSE-CHANGE ADSR-ROUT TO DISTINCT OUTPUTS for further treatments without spending 3 weeks setting-up a loop.

- Reason's Dr REX lacks reverse and separate outputs
(i could reverse each slice of a loop by hand then make a .rex file then then then .. we are in 2010)

- Discovered REAKTOR 5 recently and tried an ensemble named L3 : GREAT realtime ability but lacks separate outputs and pre-processing of the SLICES (which gives unwanted clicks & glitches i need to correct afterwards > it handicaps realtime mashing ).

- Looked at Tim Exile's "Keymasher Micro" REAKTOR-ensemble but the guy doesn't release the complete version.

DO YOU RECOMMEND ANY REAKTOR ENSEMBLE FOR THIS PROCESS ?

Hmmm, it's propably not exactly what you are looking for, but I think LiveSlice can do almost everything you are asking for anyway (if I understood you correctly). They have a subforum here at KvR (LiveLab), you might want to check it out.

to tweak your own beats i would suggest you get a combi of Recycle and RMX.
Nothing comes even close in terms of beatmangling. The Chaosdesigner makes dicing those slices a piece of cake. And automating the Chaos parameters with MIDI controllers makes it a very interactive process both intuitive and very fun!

just tried the demo of One/Solo, got a fatal error every time I tried to load a loop. pile of shit. looks nice tho

i second LiveSlice, it comes as instrument and effect and gives you full control while effects like supatrigger and livecut do some cool things but are limited when it comes to control.

i just told you how it is on most forums i know (not only kvr). people tend to intentionally overlook such screaming and that leads you to fewer people reacting on your questions.
tbh, i only reacted on this topic as i love liveslice and wanted you to take notice of it while i didn't feel to at least read the other topics you started.
and that i told you about that all doesn't mean i'm policeman-like, i just think it's a question of netiquette not to scream at people.
