Has anyone designed a MIDI Sampler plug-in yet?

I was playing with a filter envelope and really didn;t like the slope I was hearing.
I would have to move the filter cut-off manually to get the sound i was after.
this means that every note i play i have to manually repeat the movement.
this is a pain, whether I'm constantly repeating the same action on my cut-off slider or if I''ve got to cut and paste the CC data for every rcorded MIDI note.
so what if i could record the movement once, then set it to trigger on note on messages?
I could take this further, may be truncating my recorded MIDI sequence, or repeating a section of recorded data etc, etc,...; have two or three midi cc sequences triggered on each note on message, or indeed any message that I wish to set up.
As a MIDI plug-in this would open up the playabilty of any synth.
Has anyone else though of this or even designed someting already?
am I missing something and it's somehow really easy to do ?

FL's new Envelope Generator kind of does this - it can't record an action, but it does let you define a multipoint envelope that gets triggered when you press a key. The output can then be linked to any parameter.

Yes it's Awesome , and besides fruity Keyboard Controller , which is a nice soloution for controlling every parameteres include filter via both note and velocity of a midi keyboard.speccyteccy wrote:FL's new Envelope Generator kind of does this - it can't record an action, but it does let you define a multipoint envelope that gets triggered when you press a key.
