While the samples sound good and while the price is good... there's not enough!!!! If I were to buy all the samples... what then? What like... I have to go somewhere else for my samples now? INJUSTICE!!!
jokes aside I actually am looking for strange percussion for ambient music and these samples sound great, there's just not enough. With the psyops and mech package that's only 130 samples. I'm definitely going to look into buying this. But when I do I'll be looking for more. FEED MEEE

Anybody else misread the title to this thread as "Are there any sample pads similar to synthetic drums" and start to write the wrong response?
Ahem. Anyway, there's a few good samples at http://www.hammersound.net but you'll get better results from a large commercial library, or by using an automatable VSTi like Drumatic.

Not exactly, because I use VSampler, but Halion is a format that VSampler should import. It should even import Battery 1 and Kontakt 1 files(not encrypted).soniccouture wrote:It will be available for EXS24, Reason NNXT, Battery, HAlion and Kontakt.

There is a chance for a non-kontakt version of Abstrakt Vol.1?
I'm also interested in the Mbira freebee, but the file is in the encrypted kontakt format.

we'd love to be able to do a non-kontakt version of Abstrakt, but the problem is that it uses so much synthesis in the sounds, that it really wouldn't be possible to make some patches. The samples are really only half the story, its more akin to an S+S synth in its level of programming.
We are looking for multiformat solutions for Abstrakt Vol.2, however.
Konkrete Drums , however, is entirely sample based, and so should import into anything without problem.
The Mbira sample set has a folder full of raw wavs, all labelled for their key, so it should be very easy for you to build a new patch of it in Vsampler.

Maybe I'm an idiot, but i can't see how to map the samples. There is 4 samples for C# note, 2 for C, 2 for D#, 2 for E, 2 for F#, 2 for G# and 2 for A.soniccouture wrote:The Mbira sample set has a folder full of raw wavs, all labelled for their key, so it should be very easy for you to build a new patch of it in Vsampler.
Where is D, F, G and B samples?
There is an a and b version for velocity layering?
IR Samples is for an Impulse Response Reverb?
