but kraftwerk did not allow anything in their studio that would make extra noise - cos it would mess with their heads or something
so no clocks (the digital clock was late 70's) and no phones and no record execs
the ONLY way for their record company to keep in touch was to send them letters and then to meet at an agreed time somewhere - and if you were a second late they were off
Now i am a little dubious about this but even the thought that the robots of music are in fact prima donnas makes me smile
