Has anyone experienced this: I put the Katrina CD #1 in my Apple powerbook in it was spat back out. I can't play it on my Mac. Works fine on PC...hope it's just a problem with this particular CD...

Hmmm...seems like an incompatability issue to me...
Although, utm has a mac and they tested good there..
How old is your powerbook?

The CD works on newer powerbooks, apparently, as my boss was able to play it in his Mac. I have a G4 1Ghz titanium powerbook with a superdrive. It's about three years old. It plays all my other CDs though.

I have second-gen G4/500 (with a DVD-RAM drive
) - I think it's about 5 or 6 years old, definitely pre TiBook - it works fine there. And it played on every PC and stand alone player I tried including the car. The discs strictly adhere to the Red Book standard so they should be compatible with any player...

Of course, that little Rootkit we put on there may have some effect, but only if you are guilty of some heinous copyright-infringing criminal activity...
FWIW: I mastered the final discs on a Mac G5 with Jam and submitted the album track info to CDDB on the same system using iTunes. I'm really sorry if you have any problems with either disk, but I honestly think it would be due to a local hardware problem or manufacturing defect. Not that I'm beyond culpability... Between the disks, packaging, website, and everything else, I know I made mistakes. I just hope none would prevent you from being able to enjoy the music.

Well, it has worked on every other machine here, I think we can safely say it's something with my Mac.
