Can't play guitar
And no joy I'll be bringing
At least for about 6 weeks I'll be a one winged, one armed, flat footed, guitar less freak.
My arthritis has been bugging me seriously for a long time, but since last year it got really bad. At times, or at least most of the times, it is impossible to even think about playing a guitar without my daily 100g dose of veltex and panacroft. Those are pretty potent pain killers and steriods. If I keep on using it my liver and stomach will probably will not last another year.
No I have been given a choice to go for acromioplasty surgery. It will basically render me useless for some time, but at least give me the prospect of playing guitar again.
Anyway, I'll be going in to the hospital next week wednesday (25th), so I still have a bit of time to get scared and run. Wish me luch and - depends on your point of view - wish me more happy guitar years.

i've got just a touch of arthritis starting in my hips. genetic on both sides of the family
my uncle herb spent to many years crippled up in a nursing home bored to tears when he was still mentally sharp.

(You guys better like this picture. I had to trace a fish's genitals in order to make it. Up until now I had remained blissfully unaware of the fact that fish even HAD genitals, now my mouse curser has actually touched them!
I think I need to buy a new mouse now...)

Hey if it makes you feel better I never noticed how much padding Darth had over his crotch. Guess those dirty Jedi's like to go for the nuts!
But on to the point...
I hope you do recover nicely from your affliction. Nothing is worse then being hindered of enjoying the things you love. I'm still trying to recover from some high-end hearing damage I experienced back in November in my right ear. I wish there was a pill I could take for that.
