NI is strangely silent on NAMM announcements today. Has anyone seen any news from them other than the MAC compatibility thing?

I was wondering in particular which upgrades they're ready with.

apparently they have come up with a new dongle for their products (each product needs it's own dongle), seems it uses a C/R method stored on the dongle. The response changes daily and the response must be downloaded daily, it uses eyeball recognition for activation...

apparently they change the licence agrement... not only do you have to download the response daily, but you also have to download a new copy of the software every time you want to use it... but the eyeball recognition is incorporated into the dongle.

There is a new iLok?
?

Jeez Guys...

I just asked a simple question. No need to hear about your anal probe fantasies... :-o

Seriously, they usually announce at the the beginning of each show, and now they seem to be holding off.

Does anyone know anything? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

Ahh the new iKock (NI style)

Purely supposition, but based on their recent MacIntel schedule, I think they could announce updates to Pro53 and Battery for later in the year. For some reason, those products are listed as being made compatible later than the others.

Just a guess.

If I were NI, with their (fairly limited) resources available, I reckon all their efforts this year will be swallowed up in MacIntel. I don't expect much from them having just in the last year updated Absynth, Kontakt, Battery, GR, Reaktor and introducing Akoustik P - at best there'll be new Intakt and Kompakt I reckon.

There's going to be some might pee'd off Komplete Care owners then. (Not me though, I passed on it this year)
