While the sounds are good, there are many other synths out there with equally good sounds. Maybe the market is getting saturated?

As an example, I already own Wusik Station to name but one example. Plus I also own almost all of the add on sets for Wusik Station: Dangerous Bear, TSW, Vox'd, HQ Drum/Piano/Guitar, ManyTone, Sound Cell One and Two.

Then there's the other synths that do pads/atmo/drones/textures/sequences such as Albino (plus Ian Body and BT add on sets), CronoX, Octopus, Tassman 4, AlgoMusic M42, Anamark, Blue(demo), Cameleon, Kubik, all the HG Fortune synths, Surge(demo), Tera 3, Rhino 2 (most of Daniel's add on sets), Spectra(demo), Pentagon, PS-1(demo), Toxic2, Vaz Mod, Zebra2(demo), Zero Vector, z3ta+, Ravity S, etc, etc.

Plus for my main pad mangling effects: Quadfrommage, Ugo's Metallurgy, Camel Audio CamelPhat3 and Camel Space, Spirit Canyon Impulse sets, Spectrumworx, etc.

All of the above is just what I own or am demoing right now as an example of all the stuff that's out there.

The market really is saturated, talk about an embarrassment of riches.. :)

sonic, i bought it even before the price drop and think it was worth it at that price. I've only had time to play around with it though, so haven't done anyting serious. I think what could help would be if you could get some really talented guys to make a tune or two to really show it off.

HI

A soundset of samples or pre-sets will always appeal to users ... if it is what they are looking for.

I think the onus is on sound designers to continually push the envelope, but at the same time to also come up with new and exciting variations of the usual 'bread and butter' sounds.

It is difficult though ... the price point of Wusik expansions (for instance) has set a bit of a precedent for EXTREME value for money - I do wonder if this makes it less likely for ground breaking stuff to evolve in such a cut throat market place?

oh well... so if anyone has made a tune using spacehawk or other products i´d happily place them on my webpage! :)

You summarized exactly what I was trying to say earlier-more of the same won't cut it, the product has to be somehow outstanding and different.

If I was just starting out and looking for sounds and didn't already have Wusik, etc., the SonicFire set is well worth getting for the money.

You not only make great presets, but you have talent as well. Nice piece. You need to put this on your website along with your other MP3 demos. Nice job!

Also, I am still waiting till TOTC finishes the Rhino conversion. I know he's a busy puppy, so I'll wait along with the others. :D

Take care and I can't wait to get your library.

new little demo (demonstrates the arpeggiator, which works a bit different to create more "moving" sounds):

Are there any other demos like this one?

Very interesting as I have Rhino as well. In laymans terms, what would be the benefits of using this within Rhino as opposed to say importing this as a soundfont into Kontakt 2 or another sampler?

I use Rhino a lot so would like to have it in this format. I like Rhino's ease of use.
