Just retested the LFX-1310 - v 1.0.3 - works ok but you have to wait some time for it to configure itself on first use (setting up its presets I think).

Ditto for plugs like Cyanide or KT Granulator (could be thats whats happening with RetroDelay for me too)
seems like the more parameters & presets, the longer it takes & of course the more the xml file grows & grows....

I've updated the LFX1310 to the latest version but did have some trouble doing so (workaround in the Adobe FAQs if anyone else hits this). Using the menu available within the LFX interface, I did save a patch to an .fxp file and recalled it again. Does that answer the question? I'm not that deep into this stuff....

well isn't this just ducky....I spent 57 minutes downloading and installing the demo...one question is all I had...would all of the AVOX suite work, only three of five did in 1.5, and 2.0 is the same....so that hour just saved me the upgrade price...at least in 1.5 I can put them in a wrapper, suddenly 2.0 is not for me....

btw, one lil thing I've noticed (as an improvement from 1.5 to 2.0) the demo of Energy XTE now works in edit view
so maybe VST/VST wrapping?
I know XT is on my purchase list

I just loaded LFX1310 as well, and watched the effects_settings.xml file grow from 189KB (with only the Classic Series vsts loaded) to 25 meg!

So for fun I exported the presets to an fxb using minihost....96k

Click on exacty where the text "LFX1310" appears and you get a menu.

25Mb in my settings file.... could be that this plugin is a worst-case example.

5.24Mb in my settings file....
ahh I see, but thats just specific to LXF correct?

Post

Sorry, just updated my post - LFX seems to cause it to bloat to 25mb.

I agree, LFX is a perfect (worst-case) example to give to the coders :)

thanx for that, I do have eXT and it would work...I'll have to think about a while though...

i'm taking it off my Audition list for the present - it does seem to make that file too big for its own good, and when you exit from the program it seems to rewrite the whole file, then finally close after about a minute.

Hink, you may need to spend quite some time with this version seeing what's new - but of course if you have specific needs that you can see that it doesn't help you with, well, perhaps a couple of minutes is enough!

so two things that should of been fixed isn't...I mean it's not like AVOX is a freebie, it works well in Sonar, it works well in FL and eXT...I would think....well nevermind...a lot of fuss over a freebie...but....
