Hi,
Your software looks very nice ! but it doesn't want to run with my little Wacom A6 (ArtPad II).
I have only this message (sorry in French) : "L'application n'a pas réussi à s'initialiser correctement (0xc0000142)".
The tablet works well with the Borogove soft.
Any idea ?
Thanks.

yeah - I had some problems with the wacom drivers that I only recently managed to fix properly after talking to the wacom developers. Hopefully the next version will fix the issues you experience. Otherwise, please report again.
New releases are announced on the livelab.dk frontpage.

The latest update, released today, contains a bunch of fixes. Anyone interested in this app, should definately get this download.
I managed a much smoother fix for the wacom drivers - Haven't tested it yet though, because I don't have a wacom tablet installed at the moment (only one wintab driver on a system at a time - very annoying limitation)
Let me know how it works out for you guys.

I've just tried it with my Wacom Graphire USB from 1999 or so, and it's working like a charm! The only downside is the 2-controller limit imposed by the demo - any idea when we'll be able to buy this thing and use it unencumbered? Specifically, I have a gig coming up on the 5th of March that I'd love to use it with. Any chance of being able to buy a full version before then?

Great news! And it keeps outputting midi even when the app. is not in focus?it's working like a charm!
I haven't decided on a final release date yet - but I'm sure we can work something out before the 5th of marchany idea when we'll be able to buy this thing and use it unencumbered?

As long as we're on the subject, has anyone tried my MIDITab with a Wacom Intuos 3? I'm trying to add Continuum-fingerboard style note control to it and am getting no response from the tablet.

Just downloaded the latest version from the web page. I got the same result as before:
Using a Wacom Graphire 4 tablet, I started up tab2midi and both mouse and graphics pen immediately froze! Again...

version 0.71 is up.
New stuff:
- 14 bit midi (NRPN)
- error messages during wintab driver initialization to help debug the Graphire / Volito issues mentioned in this thread.
- minor tweaks

Using a Wacom Graphire 4 tablet, I started up tab2midi and mouse immediately froze! Graphics pen works in the big left hand window, but I can not move the pen or the mouse outside of that window.

Works nicely with my Calcom Creation Station.
I didn't have the driver, but I set up The Virtual Tablet Interface, which has over 400 drivers:
http://www.vtablet.com/overview.htm
Just realised I can overlap the controls!
I think this offers huge possibilities!
So, am I to understand that if I get a Wacom tablet, I'll be able to use the tablet in the background, while I use my mouse to control, say, the AudioMulch Metasurface?
That would be fantastic!
Thanks very much for this, I'm sure I'll be getting the full version when it comes out.

good!
beta 0.70 works fine with Volito on IBM Laptop R31,
MIDITab works too and it's cool as well, I hope to find time to test them more,
thanks

interesting - I should probably link to that site will enable a lot of older tablets to work with tablet 2 midiWorks nicely with my Calcom Creation Station.

Yep - this is where the freehand controllers get truly interesting - you can create a very complex controller landscape - tried adding midi to the floorplan of your apartment?Just realised I can overlap the controls!

Absolutely - you can work with other software and tablet 2 midi will run in the background - just like any other hardware midi controllers. Curious enough, this is by default not allowed by the Wacom driver, the wacom developers were so kind as to inform me of a way to disable the usual Wacom behavior while tablet 2 midi is running. So, am I to understand that if I get a Wacom tablet, I'll be able to use the tablet in the background, while I use my mouse to control, say, the AudioMulch Metasurface?

Any ideas why the software still won't work with my Wacom Graphire4 as I reported in the last couple of days? I see other posters mentioning success with some Wacom tablets-what the hell am I doing wrong? (If anything.)
Cheers
