can you send a signal out the analog outs at the same time as the usb...in other words can I monitor through my card out the analog jacks and record through usb and does it have asio drivers?

well I own a GuitarPort and you can definitely do what you mention. The ASIO drivers for the PodXT and Guitarport are the same download so I'm pretty sure it'll carry across to the PodXT.
Absolutely love Line6 gear, my Guitarport is among the best purchases ever
Best answer I can give ya I'm afraid, sorry
Cheers

Hi,
I have podxt and it is possible to use usb and analog outputs simultaneously. However, i have routed analog outputs to the mixer, not to the soundcard, but i think that would work also.
But i don't think it's possible to use your soundcard's and podxt's asio drivers together. Asio4all works (kind of).
I use asio4all when i try to find right tone to dry recorded guitar. I route guitar track to the podxt and all the other tracks to the soundcard, which are both routed to the hardware mixer. It works, but after a while they get out of sync, and i have to reload guitar's output device. I don't know if it's because of asio4all settings or flstudio.
So, i think you might also get some kind of syncing problems, if you use soundcard and podxt simultaneously. But maybe someone has a better knowledge about this.

The way I handle this is simply plug the output of my GuitarPort (or your PodXT) into one of the inputs of my audiocard and use my audio card's ASIO driver. That means no switching during a project which keeps hosts happier.
Of course, that means that you must have a decent audio card as there is an additional D/A (PodXT) and D/A (Audio card) conversion. If your audio card is half decent, the quality loss is negligible.

But then you must record wet, right? I prefer recording dry, and tweak those knobs afterwards.soundpalace wrote:The way I handle this is simply plug the output of my GuitarPort (or your PodXT) into one of the inputs of my audiocard and use my audio card's ASIO driver. Yep, I try to get the tone right first and then record. The reason I do this is because the GuitarPort only has a high impedance guitar in while your PodXT has proper analog ins so you can run the guitar into the amp at a later stage.
How about getting a splitter cable that splits your guitar signal to 2 places, that way you can record the dry guitar through a input on your audio card (must be high impedance obviously) and the other goes to the PodXT so you hear the amp while recording.

...or like me get a Podxt Pro which has more Balaned XLR outs, SPDIF/AES digital In/outs, re-amping In/outs - it's all there (i've never bophtrerd with the USB thing).
Have you done a thorough search of the Pod Forum?

I'm pretty sure that the Line 6 ASIO driver does exactly what you ask.My spies inform me that Hink wrote:can you send a signal out the analog outs at the same time as the usb...in other words can I monitor through my card out the analog jacks and record through usb and does it have asio drivers?
Wait... loot _then_ burn? D'oh!
