Orchestra Hit in SS2?

I think so. Probably in the elements section. There's definitely one in OmniSynth though if you have that... since it IS a GM set. Then of course with Philharmonik you can make your own.chisel wrote:Is there anything in SS2 that resembles an old fashion GM Orchestra Hit?
Thanks,

I was just going through the Elements section in SS2. I've had SS2 for a while now and never really checked them out (too many great presets
). But man, there's a lot of really cool shit there! I'm excited to start programming again....as far as an orch hit, I didn't find out yet. But you could make a decent one with the SS2 orch sounds. Just layer brass, strings, timp, cymbal, etc..
It's never too late to become who you were meant to be.

Yo Ditroia! Great to see you here. I think you have it right you can find the right layers in SS2 to make your own Orch Hit. But nothing will ever compare to my cheezy Roland Xp-10 Key-off Hit. It does a snare roll until you release your finger then BAM! thank god i never got rid of that synth.

Thanks for the replies. The reason I ask is that I had some fun this weekend making a hip-hop track and then sending the MIDI to first my old Yamaha CBX-K1XG, then my ESI-4000, and finally to SS2. Of course SS2 sounded the best and was the easiest to setup, but I couldn't find an orchestra hit that sounds like the GM standard. I'm sure if I did some layering, I could make an awesome orchestra hit with SS2

Hey Mr tunes! Sorry for the late reply. Haven't been on here in a few days. SS2 is awesome! The more I dive in the happier I get.
