good convolution reverb for OSX...?

Anyone know of a good convolution reverb for OSX that doesn't cost 600 bucks (Altiverb), doesn't limit IRs to six seconds (Waves IR-1), and doesn't use some sort of weird "not-quite convolution" processing (Prosoniq Rayverb... although I'd actually be willing to give this one a second look if people have good things to say about)? I've been looking at the DelayDots stuff 'cuz it seems interesting and I like to support smaller developers, but the OSX version of SpectrumWorx is starting to seem like vaporware. I downloaded Wizooverb W2, which claims to have some sort of convolution, but I couldn't even get it to work. At this point, I'm about ready to just load my tracks into Kontakt 2 and use its built-in convolution...

The W2 reverb can definitely do convolution and is by far the best reverb I've ever heard (I haven't heard Altiverb though, I'm on PC). You probably should try the Wizooverb a little more.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna give W2 another try when it's not 10:30 at night; the whole "having to register the demo online in standalone mode before I could use the plugins" thing confused me a bit... especially since I just sort, y'know, skimmed the readme

thank you! I was hoping there would be a freeware convolver out there somewhere for Macs!dry bones wrote:Being tight with money, I use Soundhack for convolution as it's free and can do some very interesting things.

There is one in Sonicbirth :
http://www.sonicbirth.com/download.shtml
The demo version now allows to run the included plugins without limit, and there is a basic but good stereo convolution plugin.
There is also an octophonic one with the same engine called "SimpleConvo 88 X", the only one on Mac, and of course freeware

But far less CPU efficient than Voxengo's Pristine Space
