Well, as I mentioned last night Amazon UK were advertsigin a release of the box on 27th, which is today, and sure enough it is now available in the UK. I just placed my order and it should be dispatched within the next 24 hours as they have it in stock :hyper:

I got my boxed upgrade last Friday in the US. The order said backordered but it came the next day (just like 1.5 for me). Adobe has a distribution center a few miles NW of Atlanta in Kennesaw. There is a 315 page paper manual (including the index). The online help is just under 48 MB installed locally. Sure it tries to access the internet but seems to work fine without it. My firewall blocks it and I won't allow it access anyway, I'm thinking about un-installing the help center. It has a separate .msi file. There were a few other Adobe related things that got installed without prompting that I find very annoying. It seems very invasive. There is one Adobe service and another Windows service got installed that wasn't there before 2.0. And it put a shortcut in my startup folder that I had to kill. It works okay but I'm pretty pissed off by it right now.

The "Adobe Bridge" part of the program has already been automatically updated over the net here. I think it did ask permission first. I'm simple-minded enough to believe that if a company like Adobe wants to put stuff on my PC, I'm sure it's for my own good. Others may be wiser...

I must say I like the way some of the Adobe software automatically updates itself when necessary, so that users don't have to continually watch out for bugfix updates. I wish more software would do that.

where did your order say back ordered? That's my whole point...it took a phone call and 45 minutes of being on hold to find out...but still today, no news

On the confirmation screen in the online store. The same thing happened with 1.5 but in both cases it was delivered the next day. I got it before the shipping confirmation.

huh...I didn't get that...that's might odd...and I got 1.5 right away and it was shipped the same day...I wish it would come ups, my friend is our driver most of the time so he knows when to stop by...if I miss him I know where to catch up with him (I call his cell)...

It's worth the wait Hinkster -- honest injun! ;)

I am awe struck actually, and I love the new "workspace" concept and "Tabs". I swear by Carnaervon it's as if they read my letter to Santa this year... :hihi:

Hello.

I recently purchased Audition 2.0 and have started using it. I think the new punch in feature is a good idea, but I'm having a difficult time figuring out how to record like audition 1.5.

When i hit record and there is an audio clip already in the track, I don't want to create a new track "on top" of the old one, I want to replace the old one. How can I do this? Doing multiple takes with audition 2.0 results in a slew of audio files being created, when I really just want to re-record over ONE audio clip until it's done! I don't like the idea of having to delete an audio clip before re-recording every time I miss a take.

Anyone know if there's a work-around to this issue?

You should be backing up your work from time to time, so save the session to a new folder and have "save copies of all associated files" ticked. That should save the files actually in use, not the ones you've discarded using the "remove hidden clips" option.

well my bank account says they took the money, but no notice of shipping yet.., I guess I'll get it by the end of the week...;)

The only thing that concerns me is they haven't kept me informed in anyway about what's going on. These are major factors too me, I wll keep it mind 18 months from now when 2.5 comes out...

From what you're saying, perhaps buying directly from the Adobe store is not the best option. As I said previously I have ordered from Amazon UK. From their email updates I know that it came into stock on 27th (the actual launch date they announced two weeks ago), my order was processed on 28th, it was posted today, and should be with me on Wednesday.
