Hi, I'm sorry to highjack Jeremys thread, but I didn't dare opening a new thread. I made a song with ManyGuitar, JamStix and then I played harmonica on top of it myself... Well, the purpose of the song was purely to test my harmonica I've had for 7 years, but never played :P

http://koti.mbnet.fi/tritonus/DotNoir/D ... Guitar.mp3

Edit. I used two 12 string presets, the other one is panned hard left, the other one hard right. And then the bass is made with ManyGuitar as well.

edit2. I really love Jeremy's track. It's very beautiful and now I feel a bit studpid highjacking this thread, but then again he got more attention :P

Hi DotNoir
Nice track there!
I love Harmonica over acoustic and what you did there sounds pretty cool.

I think Jeremy is okay with it in this thread. But it may have got more listens and comments in it's own thread. Anyways this is the ManyTone forum so i think it is cool to see you guys Post this here!!
Either way ...nice work ... I want to sample some Harmonica here as I play a bit myself.
Have you tried sampling a few notes / Blows??? Maybe turn them into a Soundset to use in ManyGuitar or ManyStation. I can help with some ideas etc. if you ever want to try it. I really liked the harp sound and feel you got there. It makes the whole piece sound more like it was played by a real band.

Cool stuff, both of these tracks.

Hi!

Thanks :) This was in fact the first time I played with a "right" backing track. I have an F blues harmonica (had it for 7 years and now I decided to see how is it really played :P) so I had to search for the chords which would fit in. After finding the chords it's all about just "go with the flow". What feels right, sounds good :)

I'm not sure how to go about sampling a harmonica tho, because for me it's all about the "freedom" and the harmonics it produces, so one hole blows wouldn't really do it (but when sampling one would have to also do those). Maybe first doing every hole alone and then doing two holes and three or something. I have to see about that, I might try and create something.
