I'm a registered user of FL5 and 6. FL6 is crashing like no other program I've ever owned. FL5 was pretty stable for me . I was wondering if anyone knows what was the last version of FL5 was (i.e. 5.x.x)? I can't find my old archive of it. Does anyone know where I can download it? I've asked in the Tech Support forum at FL's studio but nobody will help me.
Thanks.
Thanks.

5.02 was a very stable release - that's the one I recommend. The sickness of version 6 is obvious given that they're already up to 6.08

This was happening with Organized Trio, Mr. Ray and other plugs from that site. Something about plugs that send information after they are closed. It was a problem with the wrapper. They fixed it in 6.08. FLS 6 is working ok for me now, but it does use cpu.

I actually tried to install 5.0.2C (the last good version) after uninstalling FL6 and all the text and dialog boxes are blank. I've tried to remove any traces of FL in the registry but I'm missing something. Fcuk! I hate this crap. The good news is that I'm getting REALLY good at eXT. What an under-rated sequencer that is!
There really should be laws against crappy software. If I'm a registered user of FL5, I should be able to get my money back on my "upgrade" to FL6. That's as criminal as piracy to me.
Funny thing about piracy, Image Line has cartoons about piracy in their forums. Yet they clearly STOLE Dilbert's cartoons for their own use. Laughable.
FL6 is the only software that I have on my PC that crashes. Guitar Rig One used to crash but I've stopped using it in favor of Amplitube. So, it's only FL6 that wigs out my PC (both my laptop and desktop).

I'm sorry you're having problems with FL Studio, but let's not forget that the upgrade price from FL5 to FL6 is $0.00. How would you like that refund, cheque or cash?CrownRoyal wrote:If I'm a registered user of FL5, I should be able to get my money back on my "upgrade" to FL6. That's as criminal as piracy to me.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Before version 6.08, if you tried to delete a channel with Organized Trio in it, Fruity just disappeared. Poof! It closed itself, and wouldn't work again until you rebooted. I think the same thing happened with Mr. Ray and Mr. Tramp, because other users reported problems. The plugs worked, but fruity crashed under certain circumstances. But it is fixed now, I believe. I haven't tried it since, because I switched to NubiLE. But right now FL6 is stable for me.

I'm still pissed about FL6's shittiness together, especially Gol's denial about it.

@dhanjit : I think crownroyal just wants to be able to get his working version back rather than be forced to use the inferior new version...

I went from the basic FL5 version to the XXL version. I'd like that money back. Sorry about the confusion. It's about $135 worth, I think. The Chase wrote:lol you beat me to it.dhanjit wrote:I'm sorry you're having problems with FL Studio, but let's not forget that the upgrade price from FL5 to FL6 is $0.00.
