Hi. I'm teaching myself Logic Express 7 using Martin Sitter's Apple Pro Training Series book. I am in the first lesson and have gotten to the section on inserting a plug-in on a track.

As instructed in the book, I can find and insert the Modulation Delay/Slow Panning Chorus but I can't hear it applied to the track. Toggling the bypass button doesn't have any effect. I am monitoring the audio through my Mbox 2. Is there something I need to do to make sure that I hear the effect applied when the insert is NOT in bypass mode?

My set-up: iMac G5, running Tiger, 1.8 gHz.

Thanks for any help.

try switching presets on the plugin, ust to make sure you're not listening to a very subtle effect...

I did that, thanks, and one of the other presets-- the Bending Spring preset-- had a noticeable effect (as did trying out some of the delay and distortion effects).
But I'm still left with the issue as to why the chorus and flange effects under Modulation Delay are not being applied. It isn't that they are subtle. They just aren't affecting the track. Adjusting the various parameters has no audible impact. Neither does pumping up the Mix percentage to 100%.

Anyone ever encounter this before and have a suggestion?

Thanks. (And thanks to Jones-y for his suggestion. Checking out other presets on other effects and finding that they DID work eased at least some of my concern.)
